So I usually need to eat and drink to give your body some fuel before hitting the water. I typically look for something easy to make meaning, little cooking and cleaning up after. Along with easy digestion, anything heavy or that takes a while to digest is probably a NO. So I'm going to list below three leisurely breakfast that you can eat before hopping in the pool.
Banana Bread (specifically Vegan)- I got this vegan banana bread recipe from an online website. It's sweet and simple to make. The best part is that you can add whatever you like so, for example, chia seeds, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and berries are an excellent addition to the recipe. You do have to make it the night before, but it is a great and easy breakfast that morning. I will leave the recipe for you in the link below: http://ohsheglows.com/2016/10/07/vegan-banana-bread/
Hard Boiled Eggs- I'm sorry, but adore hard boiled eggs but based on the sheer fact that they're so easy to make and clean up after. Just make some the night before and then grab a few the morning of, they're easy and delicious.
Toast with Peanut Butter and Fruit (vegan-friendly)- Three easy steps. The first one is toast the bread. The second one adds the peanut butter to the bread. The third is grab your berries or banana and spread tread them on top of the peanut butter. I like to think of this as an upgrade to your typical peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It will be good to fuel your longer swims too.
